Problem
Enjuku faced some limitations with their previous BigCommerce theme, particularly its non-optimization for mobile devices. Given that around 80% of their traffic originates from mobile devices, this was a significant concern for them. They desired an updated website with a slick brand image that would resemble their app in terms of appearance, functionality and user experience. The client also emphasized the importance of ADA Compliance, and we ensured that their website complied with all guidelines.
Enjuku Racing initially approached Coalition to enhance their SEO services, aiming to boost their website’s organic traffic and revenue. Our team delivered remarkable results, building trust and confidence in us. As a result, they recently enlisted our services to rebuild their BigCommerce website, focusing on improving page speed and updating the overall design.
Solution
At the beginning of our collaboration, our team worked on improving the site’s performance by creating optimized copy and addressing the problem of slow page load speed. When Enjuku Racing reached out to us expressing their interest in redesigning their website, we proposed using BigCommerce as their open source software. This allowed us to enhance the design and user flow according to their specific needs and preferences.
Custom Functionalities
During our work with JavaScript, we designed and developed a mega menu that would dynamically populate itself based on the product categories and subcategories that would best serve customer needs and behavior. We also created custom category sidebar menus, integrated a third-party search and filtering app, developed a custom popup with an Add to Cart button, implemented a Lightbox plugin to highlight gallery photos of racecars, added a horizontal scroll area to highlight categories, and installed a Cookie library to improve user experience.

App Integrations
We recommended and used several apps for our client, including Affirm, PriceWaiter, Smile.io, and Klaviyo. Affirm, integrated with BigCommerce’s optimized one-page checkout, allows customers to split their purchase amount into convenient monthly payments. PriceWaiter is a suite of conversion tools that engage visitors and converts comparison shoppers; it is especially useful for clearance inventory. We also installed Smile.io, which serves as a loyalty program with real-time rewards for buyers. Lastly, we suggested Klaviyo, which uses site metrics to create relevant messages for users, ensuring personalized experiences and a growth in revenue for our client.
Results
In comparison to the previous year, Enjuku Racing experienced a 31% increase in monthly traffic on their site, with sessions rising from 3,369,588 to 4,417,276. Additionally, the overall revenue increased by 27%, from $10,063,564 to $12,761,329 compared to the previous year.
After two months of launching the new website, the monthly revenue generated organically increased by 33% from $98k to $130k as compared to the previous month. The number of organic transactions also increased by 38% and the organic traffic grew by 21% during this time period.
Their Google Ads generated $5,317,870.85 in revenue with a spend of $190,791.53, resulting in an ROI of 2,687.27%.
