Tumbl Trak contacted Coalition and expressed their desire to switch to a more flexible platform. They had been experiencing a decline in revenue for a few years and wanted to recover from it. In addition to that, they had set some secondary goals such as improving site speed, enhancing their organic Google rankings, creating a mobile-friendly website, and gathering more customer reviews.

Tumbl Trak, a company that started over three decades ago, specializes in providing mats, tumbling tracks, and skill builders for athletes and coaches in the gymnastics community. They were one of the pioneers in offering an eCommerce website for gymnastic equipment and have a model of keeping inventory in stock and ready to ship promptly. Based in Michigan, Tumbl Trak provides high-quality materials and excellent customer service not only in the United States but also around the world.

They had to change their ecommerce platform due to their global presence, wide range of products and services, and catering to both B2B and B2C markets. We recommended BigCommerce to them, which perfectly aligned with their requirements, and it turned out to be a great partnership that has helped them flourish as an online business. Since we launched their new BigCommerce website in January 2021, their monthly revenue has increased by 188%, from $188,105 in the first month to $541,572 in the latest month.

Design & Development

BigCommerce is renowned for its innovative and solution-oriented applications. This particular client made the most of many of their applications to meet their specific requirements. We installed an app for address auto-completion and verification that works for both US and international addresses, an app for adding a social media shoppable section on product pages, and an app for tracking customer orders.


In January 2021, we developed and launched a BigCommerce website that catered to all the specific requirements of our client. To ensure that they retain the SEO value they had accumulated over the years, we created a website redirect strategy. Additionally, we implemented up to 4,000 URLs for their US website and up to 2,000 URLs for their UK website, among other tasks, to ensure a seamless launch.

Flexible APIs

BigCommerce is highly regarded for its flexibility with APIs. In particular, we employed the open-source API GraphicQL to develop a Training Tips section on Tumbl Trak’s homepage and the table on the Training Tips single page. This feature allows users to sort by ability level and training apparatus and is completely exclusive to Tumbl Trak, setting them apart from their competitors.
We utilized the BigCommerce Shogun Page Builder App to enhance customization options for all page types. Tumbl Trak used this feature to provide informational resources to their customers.


Since launching their new site in January 2021, Tumbl Trak has received 468,678 sessions with 329,266 new users in the last 10 months. They have had 6,696 transactions and an overall revenue of $4,865,792 during that time period.
From the month after we launched to the most recent month 10 months later, they have increased their monthly revenue from $188,105 to $541,572, an increase of 188%. Organic traffic accounted for 32% of all traffic after launch. Over the last year, mobile traffic has made up 60% of their overall traffic.
